Volunteer Lawyers Network
MJF works closely with the Volunteer Lawyers Network (VLN) to encourage more private attorneys to perform pro bono services and to link volunteer students with those volunteer lawyers. VLN is the primary pro bono legal service provider in Hennepin County, serving the largest poverty population in Minnesota.

Be sure to visit ProJusticeMN.org, “Minnesota’s online poverty law resource for anyone advising low-income or disadvantaged clients.” The site is a unique collaboration of members of the MSBA, MJF, and Minnesota civil legal services providers and volunteers. It provides instant desktop access to:
- An online library of training materials, model pleadings, forms and links
- Interactive news and calendar pages
- Postings of new volunteer opportunities for lawyers and students
- Loan Repayment Assistance Program of Minnesota
LRAP is a nonprofit organization that strives to ensure access to competent counsel for low-income populations. To achieve this end, the program helps new lawyers interested in entering into public interest law deal with high education debt and low salaries.
