Summer Clerkship Recipients and Host Agencies

This is the 36th year that MJF has operated the Summer Clerkship Program, which provides funds for Minnesota law students to work as summer clerks at civil legal aid programs, public defense offices, and other law-related public interest organizations. The summer clerks learn about the legal needs of low-income clients, develop the skills required to address those needs, and begin gaining the experience they will need to perform pro bono work after they leave law school.

MJF 2018 Annual Awards Celebration

On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, MJF will host its 36th Anniversary Awards Celebration, at which we honor outstanding individuals in the Minnesota legal community. The event will begin at 5:00 pm; after a social hour, dinner and the program will start at 6:00 pm

The event will be held at a new location: the Lumber Exchange Event Center at 10 South 5th St #300, in downtown Minneapolis.

Our keynote speaker will be the Honorable David R. Stras, United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Judge Stras will be speaking on the topic of “The Rule of Law and Family History.”
